This week brings out the first of the "orange tags" winning Mr Alan Richmond from Leeds £75.00, lets hope it's like buses...........

Fishing has generally been good dispite a blip in the weather at the weekend, strong winds made fishing difficult on Saturday for some anglers but the weather has returned back to it's settled state and the fly life has returned. Buzzers and diawl backs continue to find fish on floating lines although they still do better later on in the day. Bunny leaches fished quick on intermediate lines have been the best method for the lure fishermen, with olive and black being the better colours. Fishing hotspots have been in front of the owners house on the bottom lake and near the cabin on the top lake, this is generally because of the wind direction. This weeks photo is Mr Frank Callagan with a 17lb 10oz rainbow caught and returned on a black and green fritz fished from a intermediate line, Frank also returned a further 32 fish mainly to a selection of different lures. Fish averages are at 3lb 10oz per fish with a average catch of 7 fish per angler. Tag fish competition has paid out £110.00 this week. The late evening pass scheme will start again on April 28th, anyone with a pass who want's to renew the pass needs to contact the fishery by phone or by email. If you wish to apply for a pass you need to do so quickly as there is only 14 available, forms will be available within the next week from the ticket office.
