Many thanks for all your support throughout 2012!!.....

Firstly may I thank you for all the support throughout 2012, in a troubled enviroment we have tried our best to give you a quality days fishing with the highest quality fish available. In 2012 we have made good provisions for the 2013 season with the introduction of stunning blue and brown trout due to be stocked as from January 2013. In the double department we have had great success with the feeding programs boasting great gains due to the mild wet summer of 2012, although I would prefer a bit of sun for the next year! All in all 2013 will be a interesting year for trout fisheries as some of the lesser experienced waters/managers may not have planned for the future and therefore may even miss out on the fish they wish to buy and will have to except the smaller fish that are available. Back to the fishing as we are aware Christmas is almost on us so rod numbers have been well down on prevoius weeks as you can tell with the "fish caught graph" but this is good news for some as the water is less lined, the bay area is a hot spot with plenty of catches of 20 to 35 fish per session to black blobs, egg flies and lime green buzzers all fished around the 4 foot mark. As from the 22nd the lower lake will reopen to fly after a short break due to the any method season, the restocking is continued process throught the Christmas period. Fish of the week goes to Mr Billy Thompson of Castleside with a egg fly caught double. Angler of the week goes to Mr Paul Richie from Wigan although he only had 13 fish in 4 hours he resisted fishing in the bay, he caught his fish on damsels and mini sunk daddies. Finally I would like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year from all the staff at Pennine Trout and I hope to see you in 2013.
