Another cracking week at Pennine......
Still getting those massive catch rates with some anglers catching over 30 fish per session. Best tactics have been egg flies and squirmy worms under a indicator fished at 3 to 5 foot, meanwhile cats whisker snakes have produced some good fish...best being a 18lb fish returned as he had bagged up for Mr Lee Shaw from West Houghton. Fish of the week goes to Mr Mick Ainscough from Wigan with a lovely rainbow caught on a Bloodworm fished from a floating line....he also took another 6lb fish in his bag. Hopefully this wind we currently have will ease soon and bring the fish back up to the surface as the temperatures have given us a decent rise in the mid afternoons. A quick update on last weeks grading...I didn't want to risk any photos as I didn't want to cause any stress to the fish but I did weigh them, comfortably above the 24lb to 25lb mark so the fish will be stocked in the next few weeks. I will keep you posted.
