Fishing is getting back to it's best.....

It's been a long difficult spell for all trout farms and fisheries over the summer months but finally we are seeing a vast improvement to the catch rates. With the fish now starting to play ball it's been much easier to find where the fish are feeding. The hotspots have been near both cages areas with egg flies and white buzzers being very popular when fished under a sight bob at around 5 foot. Floating frys also working well when you cast the fly at rising fish generally better when fished in a rippled area. Intermediate lines also fishing well with pink snakes, mini cats and black and green fritzs working well around the 4 foot mark. Best catches have been Mr Dave Manning (again) with 20 fish to buzzers and black boobies, Mr John Morris from Harrogate with 17 fish all to black and green fritzs fished near the cages on the lower lake best at 9lb and finally Mr and Mrs Hagston with 20 plus fish best being awarded with the fish of the week, not a double but still a beauty of a fish. Getting back last weeks report regarding the the lack of rain.....we have now had plenty!!!!!!! maybe thats whats improved the fishing.
