Phone lines are back working........

After what seems a age the phones lines are working has usual again with the card machine back in operation, many thanks for all those anglers who had to go to the ATM. Right back to the fishing with this warm sticky spell due to finish this week it should make the fishing a bit more varied as recently the fish have been stuck on a feeding pattern of buzzers and small dries. Remember to follow the wind direction as this has been changing on a daily basis and fish have generally followed it. Other patterns worth a go have been floating frys, try and target a rising fish with a accurate cast and leave the fly to settle then if you have no interest try and strip the fly quickly across the surface. This action will sometimes get a reaction from the fish to chase the fly, therefore resulting in a exciting bow wave. Regarding lure patterns the best continues to be the snake fly with black or olive working the best. Fish of the week goes to Mr Des Fisher from Preston with a silver rainbow caught on a cats whisker fished on the lower lake. Other notable catches were Mr Peter Jackson from Stockport with a 3 fish bag of 34lb (14lb rainbow - 11lb rainbow - 9lb blue) mainly to buzzers, he also returned another 18 fish. Hopefully this weekends Bank Holiday will be a success as we have plenty more doubles waiting to go in.
