Buzzer time.......

With a more constant stable weather pattern the fishing has been very good with buzzers fishing the best, black or dark olive ones have been the best when fished in the top 4 foot of water. Remember to always fish with the wind as this seems to produce the better catches, other patterns that have worked on floating lines have been black beetles and the new squirmy worms that have seemed quite popular with the fish as well as the fisherman. Sinking lines have produced fish to pearl damsels and olive snakes but not fished to deep still in the top 4 foot of water, best areas for these flies have been from the dam wall. Fish of the week goes to Mr Mick Aniscough from Wigan with a double caught on a yellow egg fly fished at around 4 foot. Other notable catches are Mr Dave Manning with 41 fish all to quill buzzers fished from a floating line and Mr Peter Rodgers from Huddersfield with 20 fish in 4 hours to pink snakes and black blobs. More of the popular blue trout being stocked this week plus more doubles going in over the next few days.
