Currently still free of ice......

It's looking like a bright sunny week is ahead of us, the flip side of this is just how cold the nights are going to be. Currently we are free of ice and will be constantly monitoring the weather to try and keep the lakes open as most other waters will be definitely frozen by Tuesday morning. The conditions have definitely helped the fishing with lots a good catch rates, fish are still interested in the spring water that's coming in and with the added snow melt it's becoming a magnet for them. Although the fish in the spring are not the easiest to catch as they get lots of attention it's probably best to randomly cast to them so that they have chance to settle. Best flies this week has been bloodworms, white gold heads and black snakes flies fished around the 3 to 6 foot mark. Fish of the week goes to Mr Eric Barlow although not the biggest fish caught this week the best picture I got of a double as 5 others were all caught on sporting tickets best being 14lb plus caught by Mr Lawson Bedford, he also had 2 gold tags and another smaller double (both returned). More doubles going in this week plus the average stock fish now pushing 3lb 7oz. Our Facebook page link on the home page is now active so "Like" us to receive regular updates.
