Sorry for the delay in this weeks post.........

With last weeks floods and staff holidays it's been difficult to find any time for a fishing report, but hopefully I can get back to it know as lots have happened in the last 10 days. Firstly the fishing with all last weeks rain it has pushed the fish up into the top 4 feet of water, with natural patterns fishing very well, when fished in the rippled areas. Aerators have been switched on when the conditions have been calm and sunny, if they are on those spots have fished very well. Best fly patterns have been buzzers and daddies on floaters and black cats and damsels on intermediate lines but still only fished in the first 4 foot. Fish of the week goes to Mr Stuart Noble although not the biggest fish out this week it's been the only one that has been taken of this size. Stuart from Warrington caught the fish on a green and white lure fished on a intermediate line. Other notable catches this week have been Mr John Miller from Burnley with a 14lb rainbow, Mr Ian Ramsey from Crewe with 15lb rainbow and Mr Lee Pitford with a 12lb all these fish have been returned so sadly no pictures. Best catch goes again to Mr Lawson Bedford beating his last effort by a couple of fish with a total of 26 fish in four hours, mainly to buzzers and damsels. Fish averages are at 4lb 3oz with a rod average of 7 fish per angler. Finally a big stocking of 5lb to 8lb fish have been stocked into lower lake (Thursday) these fish should put up a good scrap as most are full fined, you have been warned!!!!!
