Looking like a better week....
After what seems for ever the rain has finally stopped and the water just seems to get clearer and clearer. Buzzer action has been great more so when the rain eases, try quill buzzers in either black or dark olive....fish them with a washing line method to keep them up high in the water with either a booby or a hedgehog fly on the point. With the intermediate lines still try and keep the fly higher up in the water column at around 4 to 5 feet with mini damsels, white tadpoles or bloodworms. Notable catches have come from Mr Dave Manning with 18 fish from the lower lake up to 6lb and a further 6 fish from the top lake (24 fish total) all to buzzers, Mr Lawson Bedford with 16 fish to damsels and white mini lures and Mr Ryan Cross with 15 fish mainly caught on pink snakes....his best was returned at around 15lb est. Fish of the week goes to Mr Piotr Pacholek from Bury with a great double of 16lb 10oz which is his new personal best caught on a Hedgehog fished from a floating line.
