Only the brave......

It maybe cold but the fishing has been excellent, with lots of bags in excess of 15 fish per session. Damsels, bloodworms and the new cats whisker snake have been working really well on intermediate lines when fished around the 6 foot mark, more so from the dam wall and the life buoy area. Early mornings have have been great for fishing eggs with the first hour producing well, meanwhile dries have worked better from 2pm onwards as the air temperature warms up. Fish of the week goes to Mr Colin Cooper from High Peak with a cracking rainbow caught on a dry beetle pattern fished from a floating line. Other notable catches where Mr Alan Taylor with a stunning 8lb brownie caught on a worm pattern and Mr Paul Jones from Bury with a 16lb rainbow and a 7lb blue in his bag. Had a run on Tag fish this week with 6 out in 9 days!
